Abstract:Background: Naringin, a bioflavanoid possessing multifaceted pharmacological properties present Citrus sinensis peel. Our research demonstrates the process parameter at which high yield naringin can extracted from peel "one run." Objectives: The study compares efficacy different modern conventional methods for extraction. Box-Behnken Design (BBD), was availed optimization parameters extraction peels. Materials Methods: Extraction conditions (extraction time, solvent-to-drug ratio temperature) were optimized by Quality (QbD), specifically BBD. Quantification analysis extracts done using HPLC. Further, antioxidant potential C. assessed with DPPH method. Results: Ultrasound-assisted method gives highest ethanol found to most effective extractive solvent. Through use BBD, optimal established as temperature- 65.508°C, ratio- 25.880 mL/g time- 29.978 min. Under such conditions, yielded 2.021 mg/g, nearly contiguous predicted value 2.20 mg/g. ethanolic extract has unveiled significant activity percentage inhibition 71.54%. Conclusion: stood out best amongst all other thermal non-thermal modes used, proved efficient extracting Furthermore, significantly affected three variables. work highlights QbD, multivariate statistical technique field therapeutically potent phytoconstituents, makes less laborious time-saving than traditional Keywords:Citrus sinensis, Extraction, Optimization, Response surface methodologyView:PDF (673.12 KB)
